The Bathroom Thimble Texture pendant is hand painted using a brush technique and then fired revealing beautifully textured stokes along the porcelain surface. This glowing delicate light piece is made to order with the choice of five fitting finishes – see OPTIONS below.
Each one is made to order in our workshop using Parian slip, which is a remarkable material originally developed to emulate marble. It is beautifully translucent with a self-glazing, smooth satin matt finish. A highly fritted porcelain, it was created in the 1840s and became especially popular during the Victorian era for slip-cast figurines and sculptural busts. Its name derives from its resemblance to the fine-grained white marble quarried on the Greek island of Paros.
