The Thimble Splatter pendant is handmade using translucent porcelain. Each shade is decorated using two ceramic colours and a flicking technique with a small brush, making each one completely unique. This sparky light piece will liven up many a dull corner with a choice of three colour palettes using our Greens, Blues and Reds. To see our fitting finishes refer to our OPTIONS below.
Each one is made to order in our workshop using Parian slip, which is a remarkable material originally developed to emulate marble. It is beautifully translucent with a self-glazing, smooth satin matt finish. A highly fritted porcelain, it was created in the 1840s and became especially popular during the Victorian era for slip-cast figurines and sculptural busts. Its name derives from its resemblance to the fine-grained white marble quarried on the Greek island of Paros.
